Apps can improve nutrition behaviours and nutrition-related health outcomes

Meta-analysis demonstrates the positive effect of nutrition-related interventions using smartphone apps. Based on 41 individual studies with around 6,300 women and men the results of the meta-analysis show that app-based mobile interventions are effective and highly promising for changing nutrition behaviours and nutrition‐related health outcomes.
